Mentoring

Mentoring in conflict resolution, family relationships, self-esteem, confidence, positive body image and the other topics that matter in their lives, plus encouragement to pursue careers in science and technology.

“I am extremely motivated to help women in STEM careers because I believe, as young girls, many of us are not encouraged to consider careers in science and technology.”

Ask about mentoring

My approach

Meet people where they are.

Lasting health doesn't start with a lecture. It starts with understanding where you are today, what gets in your way and what matters most to you.

  • Awareness.

Know your numbers, your risks and your options. Clear, honest health information without the jargon.

  • Access.

Clear away what stands in the way: time, cost, culture, confidence. We plan around your real life.

  • Action.

Small steps, practiced consistently, with check-ins that keep you going.

“Only when Awareness, Access, and Action are implemented together will we see health disparities eliminated.”

About Dr. Correa

From the lab bench to leading clinical operations.

Dr. Karen Correa began her career in 1993 as a clinical study coordinator. Over three decades she has worked at every level of clinical research, rising to vice president leading clinical operations.

Along the way she saw how often the communities most affected by illness were missing from the research meant to help them. For more than 25 years she has championed diversity and health equity in clinical trials as a leader, speaker and writer.

Her health and wellness practice brings that mission home: education and awareness that help people make informed decisions about their health, their careers and their lives.

“Instead of becoming a victim I chose to be a victor and take charge of my personal and professional life and my health outcomes.”

That choice became her Self-Love platform, which she carried as Mrs. New Jersey International 2020 and brings to every coaching and mentoring relationship.

“True leadership isn't about a ‘my way or the highway’ approach; it's about elevating others.”

Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time. Coaching is paid directly.

How can I pay?

Credit or debit card, personal check, PayPal, Venmo or Cash App.

Are sessions in person or online?

Both. In person for local clients, or by video or phone wherever you are.

How do health and wellness go together?

Health is a state of well-being. Wellness is the everyday practice that builds it: the choices you make about food, movement, rest, stress and connection.

Is coaching medical care?

No. Coaching is education and support for healthy habits. It works alongside your doctor, not instead of them.
